About the Masseuse
"I believe the body can heal itself; it simply requires the tools to assist it in achieving optimal well-being. I have spent most of my life immersed in the healing arts. I have observed and integrated information, techniques, and philosophies into my perception to better assist those drawn to work with me. As a result my clients receive incredibly rich and dynamic bodywork.
I have faith in the perception that we are energetic, emotional, and spiritual beings having a physical experience. The body is merely a reflection of who we are on the energetic, spiritual, and emotional levels. This gives me tremendous faith in the body’s ability to heal itself, because a simple shift in our awareness can literally make all the difference in the world regarding how we feel.
I have personally encountered and created various circumstances in my physical body that have been extremely debilitating throughout my life. I have overcome them all, and my experiences have provided me a much broader foundation to allow space for resonance with the body’s organic healing abilities.
I have received training from numerous sources, including The San Francisco School of Massage, Art Riggs, The Mount Shasta Institute of Holistic Studies, and John Barnes. I have worked for some of the most elite facilities including The Equinox in Hollywood, California with an extensive celebrity clientele. I have also worked at the Sacred Mountain Retreat Spa and was the lead therapist at The Wellspring Detoxification Center in Mount Shasta, and have run my own private practice for over four years.
I am merely a facilitator to assist your body in unlocking it’s inborn healing potential. I’ve personally witnessed and experienced what some may call miraculous circumstance."
Mark has been practicing specialized massage therapy for over 5 years. He has worked on thousands of clients, including celebrity clientele, in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as Los Angeles, and is called 'the doctor of massage' by his clients. His gift is to focus STRUCTURALLY on your body. By using Myofascial Release and Sports Massage Techniques he is able to deeply impact, realign, and provide for structural changes in your physical body. This is particularly beneficial for people who have not yet had success with other modalities of bodywork or other therapies. Mark does not do surface work- he does deep, impactful, highly intricate bodywork. What you will notice is that you not only feel good while you are being worked on, but you feel the effects long after you get off the table.
"I believe the body is a living manifestation of the mind. A lot of people think the brain is the mind. It's not. The brain is merely a vessel to the mind. Our bodies reflect the present results of our consciousness. Results don't lie. However, the results you are experiencing RIGHT NOW are providing you an amazing opportunity to increase your awareness of how you are effected/affected by your experience of life and begin making more conscious decisions."
Mark understands that the physical body is a sacred and divine embodiment, and his first priority is making you feel safe and comfortable.
"It's of the utmost importance that we co-create a connection conducive to assisting you manifesting a greater degree of well-being. My work is not 'massage as usual'. If you're looking for a Swedish Massage, I can do that, but that's not necessarily where my passion lies. My specialty has been described to me by clients as being dynamic Physical Therapy. I stretch your body in ways that create the much needed space you crave. The more space you have, the more circulation, oxygenation, and fresh blood that can reach parts of your physical being that have literally dried up. Myofascial Release is thought by many to be the most effective form of bodywork on the planet to create REAL change in your body."
Mark's work is perfect for athletes, people who live a fast-paced lifestyle, and anyone who sincerely wants to experience their body being free in ways unlike ever before. His interpretation of Myofascial Release increases flexibility, speeds up injury recovery time, eases negative emotional processes like anxiety, stress, & depression, helps athletes reach their peak, and facilitates the separation of stuck together muscles, organs, and bones (even cells)...
"Bodywork Therapy is truly the new medicine. Massage, Bodywork, and Physical Therapists are the new doctors. For we assist you in preventing imbalance, disease, and structural problems. Of course you must value bodywork and integrate into your lifestyle for my previous statement to remain true. The question is, would you rather spend thousands & thousands of dollars treating the symptoms, or experiencing pleasure preventing future pain?"
