The Effects of Stress... Where did your life go?

How many times have you looked back and wondered where the time went?

You know where it went?

Stress.

All those lines on your face that came out of nowhere; how did you not see them? The added or decreased weight (usually increased); my how you’ve changed. Are you still you? The worries about money; are your financial success and failures defining your happiness? All the trivial fights with your spouse over whose turn it is to clean the house; do you look back and wonder if your inability to deal with those hard times by attacking the people you love reflects who you really are? Do you find you’re getting seduced by the mounting negative circumstances looming over the relative peace time on our planet? Do you worry the luxuries you take for granted right now might elude your children in the coming years? Are you so overwhelmed and burnt out that you find yourself judging other people for no real reason at all?

My oh my, where did the time go indeed! A better question might just be; where did you go? All that stress and fear has taken its toll on you and your well being, hasn’t it? Maybe you were so much closer to your true potential and essence than you are now. Or maybe life has kept you on your toes since you can remember, and you never even felt the magic of day dreaming for something more in harmony with what you want? You’re always too tired and too distracted by your circumstances to metaphorically lie back and imagine a reality you’d much rather find yourself living. You’re too busy keeping up with the bills, making sure you have food in the fridge, and gas in your car or truck.

Stress is like a time machine. The feeling of stress either has you worrying about the future, reminiscing and idealizing the past, or regretting decisions you’ve made that got you to where you stand now. Life is passing you by and you only realize it sporadically, in those moments when nostalgia captures your attention and compels you to ask those deep, meaningful questions about what you really want. Yeah, stress takes it toll and in acknowledging the seamless blur of your countless reactions, you realize that you’re so much more than the deteriorated version of yourself you’ve become. Are you ready to go back in time and reconnect with your True Essence?

Are you ready to extinguish the incessant noise streaming through your mind and replace it with tranquility, an appreciation for your present experiences, and a relaxed knowing that greatness awaits?

There are lots of ways to take deliberate action to feel more connected with your True Essence; the place where the noise in your head is mute. Yep, believe it or not, there are countless tools you can reach out and embrace right now that can give you the conscious power to feel present, vital, and vibrating in your aliveness.

If you allow stress to silently keep you in a walking-sleep, you will wake up one day with immense regret and sadness for not embracing the courage to rise above despondence. Let me help you wake back up and live in the present.

As I always tell my clients: It's easy to feel stress and give all those resulting external circumstances your undivided attention. It's takes discipline and an understanding about sensation to deliberately direct your attention, and therefore command your life experience.
