Why Is It So Important To Integrate Massage Into Your Lifestyle?
These are challenging times, agreed? How easy is it to feel chaotic and reactive about the circumstances playing out in your reality? Pretty easy, huh? Feeling out-of-sorts is more of the rule, rather than the exception. I want you to know that it doesn’t have to feel that way. Reacting to the stresses of life is a symptom of feeling contracted, small, or stuck in a body that isn’t in harmony. So what would assist you in feeling expansive, larger than life, or in an emotional and physical place of harmonic well being?
You kind of need to ask yourself that question: What can you give yourself that will instill a tangible sense of appreciation for even the people and circumstances you judge? I’m gonna tell you right now that if you’re in your power, then you haven’t any reason to react to anyone or anything. No matter what the circumstances! That’s the truth. So let me blow the veil away from why you react to anything at all: You’re giving away your power. You’re shrinking yourself into a tiny vessel; leaving yourself with no room to expand, grow, and feel harmonious in your body... physically & emotionally.
When you are in a state of Becoming more and more contracted, you experience pain, you feel extremely emotionally reactive, and your body morphs into a breeding ground for autoimmune virus and disease. You create all of it by perceiving the world happening to you, instead of acknowledging one simple truth: Everything that you feel is an internal process. You are the only one who is responsible for animating your external reality by choosing the thoughts and feelings you dwell upon… inside of your body.
Your reaction to circumstances and people comes from separating yourself from them. They are not separate from you. In fact, people and circumstances can only appear to you in harmony with the thoughts and feelings you are focusing upon RIGHT NOW! Nobody forces you to feel anything. You can certainly give people and circumstances that role when you give away your power, but you are STILL the only one creating the experience of life and yourself you are having.
In a sea of questions, let me ask you a few more: What if you could apply one simple exercise, in your mind, that gives you the awareness to deliberately create sensation? What if you could tangibly experience being the deliberate creator of feeling and thought, rather than perceiving life happens to you? You see, when you choose where your attention is focused upon in your internal world of thoughts and feelings, the experiences you’d like to see reflected back to you can begin to have the space to manifest. That includes the way you experience yourself in your body.
I have developed something I like to call “The Sensation Exercise.” It’s very simple, but it requires your participation well beyond getting up off my table. In essence though, you are what makes sensation tangible. It’s not the other way around. Sensation (or feeling) is not something that happens to you. Your attention upon feeling or sensation animates your life experience. It’s all you.
With my Becoming Bodywork; acknowledging that you are in a never-ending state of flux and change, it can be immediately easier to remain unattached from what may seem repetitive or redundant in your experience. In other words, if everything in your body is constantly changing, then you are not cemented in any particular experience. When you allow for a shift in your attention towards the internal sensations you feel, you are simultaneously revealing change in your external reality.
Your reality (including your body) changes as you deliberately shift your focus upon different sensations. Notice I didn’t say better or worse? No, you are what makes sensation tangible, remember? Therefore, it’s the story and beliefs you tell yourself are real that determine whether you judge a sensation as good or bad.
However, when you realize you can deliberately create sensation (make it tangible) by focusing internally and choosing where you attention is flowing, you can magically alter how you animate your reality.
It’s important to integrate massage into your lifestyle, because it stimulates inside of you a palette of sensations you can choose to focus upon and simultaneously keep recreating your experience of reality.
That’s an amazing thing.
In this age of people in fear creating chaos, you can be a rock that the stream of life flows around, unaffected by people and circumstances, because you know only you are responsible for how you feel.
Imagine a world where everyone takes responsibility for how they feel… John Lennon almost got it right… almost.
